What is a dry-hire bartender?
Ever heard of byob? This is the same thing! The host provides all of the booze
related to the event, and we bring the tools, expertise, and maybe a little fun.
Do I need to supply a liquor license?
not at all. Because no alcohol sales are being made, a liquor license is not required.
What about insurance?
We cover that as well! fog+fir carries a $2,000,000 general and liquor liability insurance policy.
Do I need to provide a permit?
Any permits needed are the responsibility of the host or venue, but in general, events held on private property are not subject to any permitting.
Is your staff certified?
yes! All of our staff are Washington tips and liquor mast certified.
Do I need to supply the alcohol?
Yes. However, we're here to ensure you have everything needed to make your event flawless. We'll provide basic garnishes, cups, and napkins. Please note that any glassware must be coordinated with the venue and staff.
Can you assist in determining how much alcohol I should need for my event?
absolutley! We assist in estimating the types and quantities of liquor, wine, beer, and champagne needed for your event based on guest count.
What is your gratuity policy?
We ask for a $250 gratuity per bartender. If tips collected during the event do not reach that amount, the host will be responsible for the difference. Want to cover it up front? You can choose to 'buy out' the gratuity so your guests don’t need to stress over tipping.

What is your deposit and cancellation policy?
Fog+Fir accepts cash and credit/debit cards through Square invoicing. Payments made with a card will be subject to a 3% processing fee. We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. The remaining 50% will be due no later than 30 days before the event date. Deposits are non-refundable.
